?Q? International Airline?s CEO to visit top officials in Ghana from March 27th to April 7th.
Cergy, France, Wednesday March 24th, 2004. -- ?Q? International Airline?s CEO, Dr Desmond G. Quincy-Jones, will be visiting top Ministers in Ghana from March 27th to April 4th, 2004. ?Q? International Airline is a new French based airline company to operate daily flights from top European countries to Ghana (Paris-Kumasi-Accra).
The delegation is led by His Excellency OWUSU-SARPONG, Ghana?s Ambassador to France.
The purpose of the talks is to obtain AOC (Airline Operations Certificate) from the Ghana government as well as a Letter of Mandate allowing ?Q? International Airline to comply with every administrative requirement.
?Q? International Airline?s objective is to provide reliable and secure daily flights to Ghanaians. As Dr Desmond G. Quincy Jones puts it ?The time has finally come for Ghanaians to travel directly to, and from, Europe on a daily basis and at lower rates, ?Q? International Airline will inevitable contribute to the development of business and employment in the country.?
When asked about the success of the negotiations with Ghanaian Ministers, ?Q? International Airline?s CEO declared that several African Governments have been approaching him but that intention and dedication to Ghana remains his priority for the moment.
Flights will start on September 1st, 2004 with a first daily rotation from Paris (Charles de Gaulle) to Kumasi and Accra. ?Q? International Airline intends to open flights from Rome, London and Atlanta in the following months. The company will employ mainly Ghanaians and train them in the French working environment.
