Accra, March 2, GNA - The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and Engineering Export Promotion Council, India (EEPC India) at the week-end signed a co-operation agreement to promote development of business opportunities between Ghana and India.
Under the agreement signed in Accra, AGI and EEPC India agreed to promote trade and investment relations between the two countries. Nana Owusu-Afari, AGI Vice President and Mr Romchomdrom Sheshagiri, leader of EEPC delegation, signed the agreement. The two organizations pledged to assist in the organisation of trade and market research missions, conferences, symposia and other methods of trade promotional activity in each other's country. He called on India to explore joint venture opportunities with their Ghanaian counterparts and said Ghana was a major hub to reach the over 250 million people in the West Africa Sub-Region.
Mr Sheshagiri said trade with Ghana was on the increase and the agreement should form the basis for improving on the terms of trade between the two countries. He asked for the database of AGI members to facilitate the relationship between the two countries.
