The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) of the United States of America will organize a roundtable on Tuesday to discuss Ghana’s competitiveness as a regional investment destination.

The first Ghana Competitiveness Roundtable will provide AGI the opportunity to highlight Ghana as an ideal investment location and regional hub for multinational corporations.

It will also enable BCIU to identify strategic business to business partnerships in specific sectors as outlined by AGI.

About 20 US businessmen, prominent Ghanaian businesses and captains of industry will attend the event, which will focus on investment and partnership development.

Ghana’s ministers for Trade and Industry, Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and Finance, are expected to attend the forum.

The BCIU is US-based not-for-profit association that aims to promote international understanding through international business. BCIU Members represent world-leading companies and promote the resolution of problems and the development of business opportunities in both the private and public sectors worldwide.

The AGI and BCIU signed a Memorandum of Understanding in February 2013, to work together to enhance and increase cooperation between private sector businesses of Ghana and the United States of America.

The two institutions also agreed and committed to pursuing only those objectives which were mutual and in the national interest of Ghana and the United States.
