AGI awards committee visits Fan Milk

The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) Awards Committee on Friday paid a courtesy call on Fan Milk Limited (FML).

The visit was to interact and congratulate FML for being the first company to win the overall best industries, food and beverages sector award in the 2012 Ghana Industry Awards.

Mrs Awurabena Okrah, Chairperson of the Committee, said AGI had been instituted not only to foster industry interaction but to reward companies and industries that had achieved outstanding success in different areas and to recognize their valued input to the country’s development.

She said the award which is in six categories and 20 sector awards “was instituted to recognize the many achievements of businesses that have distinguished themselves in the competitive market”

Mr Jesper B Jeppesen, Managing Director of FML, said over the years FML had committed itself to a number of social responsibilities which amongst others include protecting the environment, health and education.

He said the company was committed to sponsoring HIV awareness programmes as well as awarding scholarships to needy but brilliant students.

Mr Kwasi Attuah, Sales and Marketing Manager of FML, said the company was constructing new ware houses in Kasoa, Tema, Cape Cost, Takoradi, Sunyani and Takoradi to solve the problem of congestion in the headquarters.
