Executives of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) paid a working visit to Appolonia City to inspect the development of affordable housing in Ghana project by the institution today March 7, 2018.

According to Ms. Ama Atwema Amankwah, Vice Chairperson for Greater Accra AGI, the reason for the tour was because the voluntary business association, made up of 1200 members, serve as the leading voice of manufacturing industries in the country and are interested in the growth and development of such industries.

“We do such tours just so we know the frustrations and then if they have any issues concerning their lands and also few others. We just don’t sit there as an association without actually interacting with our customers knowing their issues and needs,” she said.

The project includes a variety of social infrastructure underpinned by world-class construction and estate management services to which the AGI attested adding that it is one of the best as compared to other real estates.

“I think it’s amazing. It’s fantastic because when you compare Apollonia City to most of the real estates – they have the sub-stations, they have the industrial park and then the water where people can come all the way from Accra to have fun in here.

Aside everything the security is amazing and intact. The roads are done, the lands are amazingly cheaper and you can own your land and develop it later so I personally like it and I think it’s amazing.”

Stressing on affordability and investment opportunities, Ms Amankwah, in a remark after the tour said, “It’s such a big project so there is going to be jobs. Also, they are hiring contractors to come and do businesses as well it’s a good thing if foreigners are here to give us more businesses and money."

She added; “Within the next 3-5 years to come you should be able to build your own house and own your own house as well and even to make more money from it because the houses in Accra are really really expensive so if I’m owning an affordable house or a plot of land, I think it’s amazing. I personally think it’s good and for our members as well, as AGI.”

Appolonia City is a 2,325-acre (941-hectare) mixed-use and mixed-income urban development just 20km from the centre of Accra. The project includes a variety of social infrastructure underpinned by world-class construction and estate management services.

Residential sales with a range of financing options are available by purchasing a plot to build your own house in Nova Ridge or an existing home at the Oxford development.

Appolonia Business Park offers 70 acres (30 hectares) of modern commercial areas. The park is designed to accommodate a range of uses including manufacturing, processing, storage, logistics and service companies.
