Accra, March 24, GNA - The National African Peer Review Mechanism Governing Council said on Thursday that it had released its report on the assessment of the country under the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).
A statement issued in Accra did not give any detail of the content of the Report.
It said the APRM Governing Council appointed four technical teams to undertake the review process independently with Centre for Policy Analysis (CEPA), Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), Private Enterprise Foundation (PEF) and Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER).
The statement said CDD dealt with democracy and good political governance; economic governance and Management by CEPA, corporate governance by PEF and socio-economic issues by ISSER.
It said the Governing Council also involved civil society groups in its functions and stressed the importance of the APRM under the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) initiative process. It also collated inputs and suggestions made by the various participants.
