As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, APSONIC Motor China-Africa Development Limited has made donations to various security installations across the country.
The company specifically chose areas it operates and donated reflector jackets and raincoats to beneficiary establishments to help them in the discharge of their professional duties.
Among those who benefitted include the Zongo Division of the Ghana Police Service in Kumasi, Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region and Ho in the Volta Region.
The Marketing Manager of APSONIC GH, Mr. Abdul Karim Nasam who made the donation on behalf of the parent company, commended the police for their support in clamping down crime in various areas in the country and ensuring that motorcycle users adhere to traffic regulations.
He pleaded with police to be more vigilant on persons who use motorbikes to cause crimes especially within populated areas in the country assuring that the company will continue to support the security agencies as and when the need arises.
Unit heads of the beneficiary divisions commended Apsonic Motor China-Africa Development Limited for the gesture and appealed to other benevolent organisations to emulate them.
They promised to use the items for the intended purpose.
This is about the second major donation the company has made to security agencies in the country.
Last month, donated to the Ghana Police Service and the Customs Excise and Preventive (CEPS) of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in the Upper West Region.
The Upper West Regional Police Command received raincoats, reflectors and 2 cross motorcycles (AP200GY-3) to aid them in the protection of lives and property in the region in view of the recent increasing spate of criminal activities.
“This is to enable Police to make effective patrols to combat criminal activities within Wa township and other areas”, a representative of the company disclosed.
