Accra Bourse continues to climb

Accra, Sept. 1, GNA - The Accra bourse continued to climb in trading on Monday, as volumes of shares traded went up to 297,900 from 204,400 shares traded in last Friday.

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index rose by 20.2 points to 2,555.76 from 2,535.56 at the previous trading, bringing the change since the beginning of the year to 83.17 per cent. There were six price changes, all positive.


Produce Buying Company (PBC) gained 100 cedis to close trading at 1,000 cedis per share; British America Tobacco (BAT) gained 39 cedis at 2,100 cedis; Guinness Ghana Limited (GGL) gained two cedis at 3,624 cedis; while three equities, Fan Milk Limited (FML), Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and SSB Bank (SSB) gained one cedi each at 2,931 cedis; 58,503 cedis and 7,814 cedis in that order.


Market capitalisation closed up at 10,043.66 billion cedis from 9,992.62 billion cedis on Friday.
