Accra, April 23, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange wrapped up the week Friday by hitting another peak, led by a surging Trust Bank Limited. The benchmark GSE-All Share Index was up 45.41 points to close at 6,436.28 points as against 6,390.87 points on Wednesday.
Traded volumes fell heavily at 112,900 shares down from 1.6 million shares registered at the previous session.
Change for the year to date stands at 81.13 per cent.
On the broader market, there were ten positive price changes. Trust Bank Limited led the pack with a 1,000 cedis gain to close at 23,000, Unilever was richer by 395 cedis at 20,000 cedis, SG-SSB made 49 cedis at 29,551 cedis, Mechanical Lloyd Company went up two cedis at 3,052 cedis and Home Finance Company gained 90 cedis at 9,600 cedis.
Other gainers were Guinness Ghana Limited 290 cedis at 10,500, Ghana Commercial bank 50 cedis at 17,350 cedis, Cocoa Processing Company five cedis at 1,475 cedis, British American Tobacco was up 10 cedis at 7,460 cedis and Accra Brewery Limited two cedis at 652 cedis. Market Capitalisation went up to 19,954.05 billion cedis from 19,838.96 billion cedis on Wednesday.
