Accra bourse continues bullish run

Accra, April 16, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange saw another bullish run on Wednesday with the benchmark index, the GSE All-Share Index, going up by 33.78 points. The index closed the session buoyed by gains by four equities to close at 8,709.12 points from 8,675.34 points.

Change for the year to date now stands at 31.96 per cent. Shares that changed hands dropped drastically at 469,100 shares down from 1,949,800 shares on Tuesday.

On the broader market there were four positive price changes. CAL Bank gained GH¢ 0.01 to close trading at GH¢ 0.57, Ecobank Ghana Limited was up GH¢ 0.02 at GH¢ 2.75, Ghana Commercial Bank went up GH¢ 0.06 to close at GH¢ 1.38 and Benso Oil Palm Plantation was up by GH¢ 0.01 at GH¢ O.61. Market capitalisation closed the session up at GH¢ 14,498.60 from GH¢ 14,477.55 on Tuesday.
