Accra, Feb. 7, GNA - The Accra bourse continued its downward slide on Monday with British American Tobacco (BAT) recording another big loss as bearish sentiments prevailed.
The Ghana Stock Exchange All-Share Index, the main stock index, was down by 11.94 points to 6,835.28 points while change for the year was also lower at 0.54 per cent.
BAT lost 500 cedis at 5,000 cedis, but there were three price gains.
Benso Oil Palm Plantation gained five cedis at 6,710 cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) appreciated by 10 cedis at 12,230 cedis and Patterson Zochonis was five cedis better at 5,005 cedis.
Traded shares were down at 96,000 shares from 345,600 shares on Friday.
Market capitalisation closed lower at 97,714.95 billion cedis from 97,747.55 billion cedis on Friday.
