Accra bourse continues losing streak

Accra, May 15, GNA - The GSE All-share index, the benchmark measure of the performance of the Accra bourse, lost a whopping 727.79 points to continue the streak of poor performances. The index closed Friday's trading at 7,955.18 points, down from 8,682.97 on Thursday on account of a decline in the share price of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated and Fan Milk Limited. Change for the year to date dropped to -23.74 per cent. Traded volumes fell to 50,100 compared to 124,000 shares at the previous close on Thursday. Market capitalisation dropped heavily at GH¢17,120.31 million from GH¢17,650.00 million. There were two negative price changes. Ecobank Trannational Incorporated (ETI) lost GH¢0.06 at GH¢0.35 and Fan Milk (FML) was down by GH¢0.30 at GH¢2.50.
