Accra bourse index ends week on good note

Accra, Aug. 15, GNA - The Accra bourse recorded another impressive run on Friday to end the week with the GSE-All Share Index, the main measure of the Accra bourse, rising by 34.84 points.

The index went up on the strength of price appreciations in four equities to close at 10,626.29 points from 10,591.45 points. The change year to date now stands at 61.01 per cent. Traded volumes closed the session up over 1.7 million shares on account of a block trade in Ecobank Ghana shares. The Bank sold over 1.5 million shares.

On the broader market, there were four positive price changes. Ecobank Ghana went up by GH¢0.01 at GH¢4.62; Total gained GH¢1.00 at GH¢7.20; Fan Milk Limited was up by GH¢0.30 to close at GH¢4.60 and Super Paper Products was up GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.08. Market capitalisation ended the session up at GH¢17,842.87 million compared to GH¢17,821.01 million on Thursday.
