Accra bourse index in big leap

Accra, June 16, GNA - The GSE-All Share Index, the benchmark measure of the Accra bourse, jumped a whopping 71.09 points on the back of huge price appreciations in four equities. The index rallied to close up at 10,238.64 points from 10,167.55 points.

Change to date now stands at 55.14 per cent. Shares that changed hands at the close of the session on Monday stood at 396,200 shares.` On the broader market, there were five price changes - four positive and a negative.

Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) gained GH¢0.04 at GH¢3.80, Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC) went up by GH¢0.08 at GH¢2.30, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI, was up GH¢0.005 at GH¢0.47 and Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited (GGBL) was richer by GH¢0.03 at GH¢2.10.

The only loser was Aluworks Limited, which went down by GH¢0.03 to close GH¢0.65. Market capitalisation now stands at GH¢15,514.02 million.
