Accra, Sept. 22, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) slid in trading on Friday on the loss of Socite-General SSB Bank and Clydestone. The GSE All-Share Index, the main bench mark, went down by 1.33 points at 4,958.88 points from 4,960.21 points while change for the year was 3.98 per cent.
Shares traded were 532,200 with CAL Bank selling 307,600 shares while ECOBANK Trans-national Incorporated sold 116,200 shares. On the broader market there were five price changes, two negative and three positive.
Clydestone lost 200 cedis at 800 cedis and SG-SSB lost eight cedis at 6,740 cedis.
ECOBANK Ghana, Enterprise Insurance Company and Standard Chartered Bank gained a cedi each at 12,051 cedis; 8,424 cedis and 150,001 cedis in that order.
Total shares that changed hands ended at 532,200 while market capitalisation stood at 111,487.82 billion cedis.
