Accra picks up again

Accra, Oct. 14, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange picked up again after Thursday's loss halted a slow recovery over the past few days. The GSE-All Share Index, the benchmark measure, climbed by 6.69 points to close at 4,886.69 points on the strength of gains by Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) and British American Tobacco (BAT). Change for the year-to-date went up to -28.12 per cent from -28.22 per cent.

Traded shares shrank to 134,400 from 242,700 shares. GGBL gained 89 cedis at 7,500 cedis and BAT was better by 44 cedis at 3,070 cedis.

Market capitalisation ended up at 92,161.49 billion cedis from 92,143.80 billion cedis.
