Airtel Ghana supports Nkoranza Disable Society

Airtel Ghana,has supported 15 physically challenged individuals from the Nkoranza Disable Society in the Nkoranza South Municipality with Airtel products to trade in as Airtel retailers through the company’s employee driven initiative dubbed “Make Your Change”.

The beneficiaries were nominated by an employee of Airtel to be supported in order for them be able to make the best out of their lives rather than to beg for alms.

The beneficiaries were supplied with point of sale materials and souvenirs including parasols, tables, showcase, rechargeable cards and e-value for Airtel money transactions to empower them as self-dependents.

In attendance at the short ceremony to present the items to the beneficiaries in Nkoranza were Miss Shirley Adjeley Sowah, representative of the Municipal Chief Executive of Nkoranza South, Mr. Mintah Sufan, Chairman for the Nkoranza Disable Society and Mr. Douglas Musah, District Director of Social Welfare.

“We are moved by the eagerness shown by our physically challenged brothers and sisters to make some meaningful impact on their lives without heading to the streets to beg for alms. This is actually the power of potential which Airtel as a company believes that each individual irrespective of the situation has the capabilities to impact a change. We are committed to supporting initiatives such as this brought forth by our employees in making a difference in their local communities,” Kwaku Asiedu, Zonal Business Manager for Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo opined
