President Akufo-Addo says his government will create a society full of opportunities and incentives for Ghanaians.

This new society will focus on Science and Technology as a critical tool for development. It is for this reason that government is implementing the Free Education in Public Senior High Schools.

President Akufo-Addo made the point in Washington at the 15th anniversary of the Whitaker Group.

While admitting the task will not be easy, the President is optimistic that Ghana will rise to the occasion.

He asked Africa leaders to take advantage of the many opportunities the 21st Century presents and improve their lot.

The Whitaker Group founded in 2003 has facilitated billions of dollars in investment projects and capital flows across Africa.

The Group recently started making its direct investments in African companies. It was founded by Rosa Whitaker, the first ever Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Africa.

The Group operates at the nexus of US-Africa Economic policy, trade and business development with deep understanding of how to get things done in Africa.

The founder of the group, Rosa Whitaker said the 15th anniversary is dedicated to celebrating Africa.

She said President Akufo-Addo's leadership has made Ghana the fastest growing economy in the world.

President Akufo-Addo said there is much to celebrate as Ghanaians and Africans, after overcoming many tribulations in the course of history.

He touted the democratic credentials of Ghana which has seen peaceful transfer of power from a democratically elected government to another.

President Akufo-Addo noted that the time has come for Ghana to take its democracy a notch higher.

He said the 21st century is the time for Africa to realise it's unlimited possibilities.

The US Congress earlier presented a document acknowledging the visit of President Akufo-Addo to the United States.
