The collaboration seeks to create over 1,000 jobs through an innovative work-and-pay initiative
The Afro Arab Group has announced a major strategic partnership with a leading Chinese electric-vehicle manufacturer to boost youth employment and support Ghana’s emerging 24-hour economy.
The collaboration seeks to create over 1,000 jobs through an innovative work-and-pay electric car initiative aimed at empowering young people across the country.
Under the partnership, hundreds of affordable electric vehicles (EVs) will be made available to Ghanaian youth through a flexible work-and-pay system.
Beneficiaries will be able to use the vehicles for transportation, delivery services, ride-hailing, and other commercial activities, enabling them to earn income while working toward full ownership.
Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, Founder and President of the Afro Arab Group, emphasized that the project aligns with Ghana’s broader national agenda to promote a green economy, reduce carbon emissions, and expand economic activity beyond traditional working hours.
He reiterated his commitment to supporting the youth and championing sustainable development.
He noted that the work-and-pay EV model will not only equip young people with sustainable livelihood opportunities but also accelerate Ghana’s transition to clean energy transportation.
By combining economic empowerment with environmental responsibility, the initiative aims to shape a more resilient and future-ready workforce.
“Our goal is to support government efforts by creating real opportunities for young people while introducing environmentally friendly mobility solutions,” Ambassador Amadu stated.
“This partnership will open doors for the youth to participate actively in the 24-hour economy and build long-term economic stability.”
The Chinese partner, renowned for its advanced electric mobility technologies, will provide technical support, assembly training, and capacity-building programs to ensure efficient local operations.
The collaboration is expected to enhance skills development and strengthen Ghana’s electric mobility ecosystem.
