All Is Set For Ghana Expo2003

All is set for the opening of Ghana Expo 2003, the first ever Ghanaian all-sector trade and investment fair in London, on Thursday, 16th October. The exhibition has attracted well over 500 companies mainly from Ghana and some parts of West Africa as well as Europe. Exhibitors from around the world stated arriving in London last Sunday.

The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Ahhaji Aliu Mahama who is scheduled to officially open the fair arrived in London on Tuesday morning as the leader of a ten-man government delegation.

Aliu Mahama has arrived in London at the head of a four-man government delegation for the official opening of Ghana Expo 2003, which takes place at London's Alexandra Palace from 16th through to 19th October 2003.

The four-day event which seeks to show case the investment as well as economic potential of Ghana will comprise of seminar, one-to-one meetings with potential investors, a fund raising dinner dance in aid of the Otumfour Education Fund and a Ghanaian durbar of royals, chiefs and kings.

The event will seek also to enhance the the already saturated trading relationship between Ghana and the UK. Currently, UK is Ghana's largest trading partner.

Ghana EXPO 2003 under the theme: "The Golden Age of Business-A Reality in Ghana" is being organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and President's Special Initiative. Ghanaian products would be on display and information on business and investment opportunities in Ghana would also be made available at Expo 2003.
