Trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange was thin today as volume of shares exchanging hands dropped significantly. However, the GSE All-Share Index climbed slightly by 0.24 points to open the week at 439.13 points. Traded volume slumped to 19,000 shares compared to the 397,800 posted during trading on Friday. Bids which stood at 8,002,900 outnumbered offers of 390,250. There were high demands for the shares of Kumasi Brewery Limited (KBL), Guinness Ghana Limited (GGL) Pioneer Tobacco Company (PTC), Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and Super Paper Products (SPPC). Demand for KBL was 350,000 shares, GGL 4,006,300, PTC 3,036,200, SCB 232,800 and SPPC 204,200. Market capitalisation went up slightly to 2,771.81 billion cedis against 2,771.46 registered at the previous session. On the broader market, there were three gainers and a loser. Mobil Oil Ghana Limited (MOGL) made five cedis to open the week at 6,025 cedis while PTC gained three cedis to finish at 368 cedis. GGL was richer by one cedi, closing at 428 cedis. CFAO was the only losing stock, slipping by one cedi to end at 39 cedis. The following are the last prices of listed equities quoted in cedis:
