Accra, Nov. 7, GNA - Banking stocks again led the way in Wednesday's trading on the Accra bourse to push up the main stock index, but shares that changed hands remained low.
The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure, ended better by 0.34 points at 5,850.06.
A total of only 34,400 shares changed hands, up from Tuesday's 364,100. On the broader market, there were four price changes, all positive. CAL Bank continued its rise by gaining 0.0002 GH cedis at 0.3805 GH cedis, Ecobank Ghana was up by 0.0001 GH cedis at 1.6523 GH cedis and Standard Chartered Bank was better by 0.0080 GH cedis at 24.1100 GH cedis and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited gained 0.0001 GH cedis at 1.2106 GH cedis.
Market capitalisation was up at 11,855.71 million GH cedis from 11,855.51 million GH cedis.
