Bayport Financial Services has on the occasion of its 10th anniversary made a strategic move of extending financial services to the informal sector with the launching of its new division known as Bayport Micro.

Bayport Micro was set up in April, 2013 after a successful pilot test spanning 2 years. This division specializes in advancing loans to individuals and businesses operating within the informal sector. The setting up of this new division is in direct response to calls from our large and satisfied customer base.

Bayport Micro has launched from four branches nationwide namely Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani and Techiman. It is managed by seasoned managers with solid expertise in micro finance.

Bayport Micro has a vision of becoming the leading informal sector financial services provider in Ghana and thereby offering a platform for the transformation and empowerment of lives.

Bayport Micro currently offers credit to groups and operates with a very simple yet effective credit methodology which lowers the barriers to accessing credit within the informal sector.

This new division also offers deposit products which allow clients to save for their changing financial needs. With a minimum account opening amount of GHC5, it is easy for prospective clients within the large informal sector to have access to the “Bayport Experience”.

Bayport Micro’s Business philosophy is driven by the principle of sustainability, Transparency, Innovation and Excellence.
