Berock Ventures, a leading indigenous construction firm, is seeking to partner Murray& Roberts of South Africa to collaborate on several fronts.

The collaboration is to enable both companies leverage on each other’s strength, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berock Ventures, Courage Dogbegah, has said.

He said some staff of the company had already been to South Africa for training and others would do same in order to further sharpen their skills to tackle new challenges.

Mr. Dogbegah was speaking at the end of year get-together for staff and management of Berock Ventures as well as their spouses to wrap up activities marking the 20th anniversary celebrations of the construction company.

He said the relationship with Murray & Roberts is in line with the vision of the company and marks the next phase of the company.

Murray & Roberts is one of South Africa’s leading engineering, contracting and construction services companies.

It has executed projects in the Southern Africa region and has now entered the Ghanaian market.

Mr. Dogbegah was hopeful the synergy between the two companies would also positively impact on Ghana’s infrastructure development.

The Founder and Chairman of Berock Venture Rockson Dogbegah commended staff of the company for their commitment.

He said a lot of resources will be invested into the development of firm’s human resource, as it seeks to rub shoulders with international construction giants and enter other markets.

He noted that though the year was generally challenging, the hard work of the staff enabled Berock Ventures to end the year on a good note.

He called for an improved socio-economic environment that would enable indigenous companies to thrive and employ more people in the coming years.

Some notable projects being executed by the indigenous company include the 12-storey Shippers Authority complex, the National ICT Park, the Training School for Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the National Blood Centre.
