Best Point Savings and Loans Limited has opened an office in Takoradi, being the 10th branch across four regions in the country and first in the Western Region.

Having started operations in 2014, it has a vision to bring financial inclusion to the unbanked and underprivileged as well as support the growth of businesses at all levels, Mr. Kofi Ampofo Agyapong, Managing Director of Best Point Savings and Loans, Limited said this during the opening at Market Circle in Takoradi.

“At the heart of our operations is the strong belief that the customer is the reason of our being, and therefore delivering top-notch customer service is our hallmark” he said.

He said the bank has developed a range of products and services to meet the needs of everyone; such as sikadua, savings plus account, best kids account, current account, savings and fixed deposits among others. “Our ATMs for instance give you 24-hour access to your money since they are ‘gh-linked’, therefore our ATM cardholders can withdraw funds from their account using the ATMs of other banks,” he explained.

Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, Board Chairman of Best Point Savings and Loans Limited, noted that businesses face lots of challenges in terms of finance to support the growth and expansion of their operations.

“We have come to your doorstep to help realise your dreams of improving upon your business,” he said while urging businesses to work with the company.

He appealed to workers of the financial institution to cherish their customers and receive them with open arms for good customer relations.

Dr. Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, the Member of Parliament for Takoradi, pointed out that if Ghanaians can be faithful in partnership-businesses it will go a long way to open up business, employ a lot of people, as well as alleviate poverty.

He urged to the institution to consider giving loans to small and medium enterprises, especially the market women: “No matter the amount given to them, they will repay; I know, since I have worked with some of them when I was with the financial department of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly”.

Also, he appealed to the financial institution not to make the interest rate so high for the market women, so as to enable them repay the loans on time.

Again, he said the workers should deliver quick service to their customers since there is a lot of competition in the industry, as well as to draw a lot of customers.

Nana Kobina Nketsia, the Omanhene of Essikadu traditional area, added that it is not foreigners who will build the country, but its indigenous individuals.

“We should invest in the country like Best Point Savings and Loans Limited is doing and offering employment opportunities to locals,” he said.

He encouraged the market women to patronise Best Point Savings and Loans Limited’s services since they are at their doorstep.
