Best Point Savings & Loans Limited, a subsidiary of the Despite Group of Companies, says it has mobilized deposits to the tune of GH¢20.3 million in nine months.
The company said it achieved the feat through the establishment of account relationships with over 20,000 customers, aside granting loans and advances of GH¢4.9 million.
Kofi Ampofo Adjepong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Best Point, made this known yesterday in Accra during the inauguration of the Makola branch of the company.
This was followed by the opening of two branches at Abossey-Okai and Accra New Town respectively.
All three new branches were officially commissioned by Millison Narh, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana.
In January, this year, Best Point Savings & Loans Limited commenced operations at Achimota Mile 7 in Accra.
“Since then, we have been pleasantly surprised and overwhelmed by the tremendous patronage we have enjoyed from our loyal customers, who have travelled long distances to our Mile 7 branch to do business with us,” Mr Adjepong noted.
On November 14, this year, the company would launch a branch at Kejetia (SAT) in Kumasi to bring to six its total branch network in the country after only 10 months in the industry.
Best Point has also received the Central Bank’s approval to site six branches in Greater Accra, Western and Ashanti regions between now and April 2015, the CEO noted.
“All of Best Point’s branches are fitted with ATMs which are gh-linked. This means holders of Best Point ATMs can access their accounts through the ATMs of other banks which are also gh-linked.”
Board Chairman of Best Point, Ernest Ofori Sarpong, in a remark, called on traders operating in the Accra Business District and all other places, to do business with Best Point since it offers the best interests on loans as well as tailor-made products for businesses.
Best Point is owned by Osei Kwame Despite, a business tycoon.
