Accra, Oct. 10, GNA - Stallion Motors, distributors of Audi, Honda, Skoda and Hyundai cars in Ghana, will launch its new Skoda Yeti at the Accra International Motor Fair scheduled on October 21st this year.
Introduced at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, the new Skoda Yeti will be announcing its entry into the Ghanaian market during the fair which brings together all the leading brands in Ghana to display latest models, car accessories and services to a highly targeted audience.
Mr Paul Asinor, the Event Director in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra said the new Yeti is a five-door, five-seater mini SUV model built by the Czech car manufacturer, Skoda Auto.
The fair will have the theme: “Driving Ghana’s Automotive Industry Forward”.
He noted that the Skoda Yeti is labelled as a 'crossover' combining the affordability and running costs of a normal hatch back with the extra practicality and chunky styling of a 4x4.
“Skoda Yeti is a great family car that is versatile and roomy, inside there's plenty of space for four adults, with impressive legroom for those in the back, plus a large boot,” he said.
On safety, the event Director stated that the Skoda Yeti achieved the highest rating of five stars in the independent Euro New Car Assessment Programme test in its category.
The Yeti has Dual Supplemental Restraint Support Air Bags for the driver and front passenger as well as 2 side Air Bags and 4 Curtain Air Bags.
Explaining the characteristics of the car, Mr Asinor said it had a factory fitted security system; an immobilizer; anti-lock braking system; emergency lock retractor seatbelts for 5 passengers and an electronic brake distribution system.
“To make your driving experience even more pleasurable, the Skoda Yeti has an automatic air conditioner and an audio system with MP3 player plus 6 speakers, front fog lights, high intensity lights, all with a leather interior and leather steering wheel,” he added.
He said organizers were happy to welcome Stallion Motors on board, noting that they look forward to a very successful exhibition with the support of all other partners including Mechanical Lloyd, Lubeco Ghana Limited; Shell Ghana Limited; Rana Motors, Africa Motors and Viramsun Ghana Limited.
