Bolga Branch of ADB Goes Network

Bolgatanga, Nov. 27, GNA - Customers of the Bolgatanga branch of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) have a good cause to rejoice as the branch went on the Wide Area Network at the weekend.

What this implies, especially for salaried workers, is that they can now get their monthly pay the same day their departments in Accra deposit the money in their individual accounts at Cedi House, the National Headquarters of ADB.

Previously, workers with accounts at the Bolgatanga branch had to wait for at least one week for the advice on their salaries to arrive from Accra by post and their accounts credited before they could have access to their money.

"It is good news. We can now enjoy the same services as our colleagues with National Investment Bank and SG-SSB," said Emmanuel Ayine, a civil servant who said he had been with ADB since it came to Bolgatanga more than 20 years ago.

Madam Beatrice Anafu, a trader and ADB customer, said before the bank was networked she went through a lot of inconvenience each time she traveled down South to purchase goods.

"Whenever I ran short of cash it was difficult getting immediate help from the Bank in Kumasi because of problems with telephone communication. Now I can have easy access to my account and can withdraw money to transact my business whether I am in Kumasi of Accra", she said.

When asked for his comments on the new development the branch Manager, Mr. Kwame Afriyie, said going network was just the beginning of a number of schemes the Bank had lined up to enhance its services and to give its customers maximum satisfaction.

"With ADB the best interest of the client is always our paramount concern," said Mr. Afriyie. He urged ADB customers in the Region to continue to keep faith with the Bank, saying that they were the reason for its existence.
