The first Express Bosch Car Service (EBCS) has been opened in Ghana to offer affordable yet quality car services to car owners.

Bosch opened the centre with a special discounts on all services and on Bosch spare parts are to be provided on on Friday 22nd February, 2019.

Speaking in an interview with the media, Rashid Sowah, Workshop Concept Manager at Bosch explained that the "innovative EBCS concept steers toward a fast fit concept focusing on services that answer to the market demand."

Mr. Sowah added that "This is a newly developed, innovative concept tailored to suit the Africa region in an uncovered market segment. Each EBCS is linked to a Master Bosch Car Service to which it can refer major services and more complicated vehicle repairs."

He further stated that Africa has a very heterogonous workshop market and due to the high cost of vehicle repair in the formal sector the majority of mobility users are forced to use the cheaper informal workshop.

The AA team in Africa recognized the need for a quick service solution which is positioned strategically in-between the formal and informal workshop segments and so the EBCS concept was established.

According to him, the EBCS concept is in its pilot phase in selected countries, which are Ghana, Nigeria and Egypt.

The service offering typically includes basic diagnostics, oil/filter changes, brake pads, brake fluid, spark plugs, bulbs, battery and wiper blades replacement and also air conditioning (AC) service.

Following the anticipated successful commencement of establishing Express Bosch Car Service, the Bosch West Africa team plans to replicate the initiative across the focus countries, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Cameroun, and other West and Central African countries.
