The government sees information, Communications and Technology (ICT) as a vital tool for the transformation of the industrial and Agricultural sectors of the economy, Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, Communications and Technology Minister, said in Accra yesterday.
To this end, he said the government has placed ICT on its agenda to facilitate and promote Internet service in the country. The Minister said this when he launched the digital Subscriber Line (DSL) of internet Ghana at La palm Royal Beach Resort recently.
The DSL technology has the potential of providing a high speed access to the Internet and multimedia capabilities.
Mr Kan-Dapaah announced that the national policy on Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) which seeks to accelerate Ghana’s vision of becoming a high income economy will soon be launched before the end of the month.
