Tema, Sept. 17, GNA - CAL Bank on Friday opened a branch in Tema, the fourth in the country after its Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi branches. The launch of the Tema branch is part of the bank's strategy of accelerating access to quality banking services, and more especially, to show CAL's deep commitment to the people and industries within the municipality, says Mr Frank Adu, Managing Director of the bank.
Mr Adu said plans were underway for a second CAL Bank location in Tema, adding that while focusing on bringing quality banking services closer to customers, CAL Bank was also advancing its product portfolio to make banking a pleasurable experience.
Mr Ofori Teiko, an official of the bank, used the occasion to launch the "CAL InvestPlus" scheme to give customers the opportunity to invest in a flexible way, and to borrow up to 80 per cent of the value of their investments.
Mr Teiko assured members of the public that they did not need to open any account with the bank before investing in the CAL InvestPlus, stressing that investors only needed to fill simple forms with a minimum investment of 500,000 cedis.
