Agotime-Kpetoe (V/R), Mar 5, GNA- The Management of the Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) on Friday said it was determined to change for the better the negative public perception of the service. It said management would ensure that every officer worked harder to project the new image of the Service.
Mr Hopeson Nyaho, Deputy Commissioner of CEPS (Finance and Corporate Planning) said this at a passing-out parade of 57 Casuals after a one month Basic Para Military Course at the Agotime-Kpetoe CEPS Academy.
He said the full integration of the officers into the service would depend on the final report on their performance at the Academy and warned that management would no longer tolerate the tendency to refuse transfers and postings to areas considered to be deprived. He said all eyes were on CEPS and asked the new officers to live up to expectation to justify being retained in the service. Mr Nyaho said management would ensure a congenial atmosphere, including good wages and adequate logistics for good performance.
The best all round award was won by Albert Korbuvi while Best Female Trainee went to Cynthia Enim.
