CIMG excellence awards held

Accra, Aug. 5, GNA- The Chief Executive Officer of Unique Trust Financial Service Limited, Mr Prince Kofi Amoabeng is the marketing man for the year 2006.

The marketing Woman for the same period was Mrs Felicity Acquah, Managing Director, Eximguranty Company Ghana Limited. They both took home a plaque, 200 million accident insurance cover for one year, one million MTN units and a six-month supply of Guinness products at a colourful ceremony organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) in Accra.

Miss. Patricia Akpene Tegbe, a reporter of the Ghana News Agency emerged the marketing student of the year 2006 and received a plaque, MTN mobile phone, with one million cedis talk time and assorted books. Standard Chartered Bank was awarded the Bank of the year 2006, while State Insurance Company emerged the Insurance Company of the same year. Airline of the year 2006 went to Emirates with Neat Fufu being the Emerging Brand of the year, while Annapurna salt was awarded with Product of the year.

The Manufacturing Company of the of year 2006 was conferred on Nestle Ghana Limited, marketing oriented organisation went to DHL, while Millicom Ghana become the ICT Company of the year 2006. Shell Ghana Limited was adjudged the petroleum company of the year, 2006 while Toyota, received the Motor Firm Company of the year and Melcom took home the Retail outlet of the year 2006.

The TV advert of the year 2006 went to Interplast (Drumming boy) while Out door advert pf the same year was given to Unique Trust (Handcuff) and Radio advert of the year went to Kasapa (Night Calls). Media of the year 2006 was conferred on Multimedia Broadcasting Company (Joy Fm) as well as the Radio Programme of the year with Thank God Its Friday on Metro TV being adjudged the TV programme of the year. The award, a brainchild of the Institute of Chartered Marketing, Ghana is in recognition of the distinguished performances exhibited by the various companies in the country.
