Accra, Dec. 4, GHA - The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has released money to all Licensed Buying Companies (LBCs) for the payments of bonuses to cocoa farmers for the 2003/2004 season.
This was released in a press statement on Saturday, and signed by the Chief Executive Mr Kwame Sarpong.
According to the release, payment is in progress at the various districts.
The release said the Western North, Western South and Brong Ahafo Regions would be paid directly by COCOBOD officials, and therefore advised farmers to meet the officials with their passbooks. The COCOBOD urged cocoa farmers to contact their respective LBC's in their districts for their share of the bonus.
It also called on all LBC's and all stakeholders to ensure the success of the exercise.
