Cabinet on Wednesday July 15, met to review the 2015 budget at mid-year. The meeting was also to consider supplementary estimates to be submitted to Parliament.
The meeting reviewed strategies to fix challenges facing the energy sector, the performance of the Cedi since January 2015, and its recent appreciation against major trading currencies.
Chaired by the President, John Dramani Mahama, the cabinet meeting also discussed employment generation under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), funding of the Digital Terrestrial Television Migration from proceeds to be derived from auctioning redundant spectrums among others.
The Minister for Finance will be presenting to Parliament, on behalf of the President, the Mid-year review of the Budget and Supplementary Estimates for 2015.
