The Car Rental Association of Ghana (CRAG) has said, plans are advanced to strengthen their partnership with University of Cape Coast and also establish a similar pact with Hotel ,Tourism and Catering Training Institute( HOTTCATT). This was made known to members of CRAG by their new executives led by its president Mr. Thomas Okyere during their first meeting since taking over.
Mr. Okyere said capacity building for the members of the Association and their quest to offer flawless service delivery and also play an active part in the tourism supply chain has necessitated the move to partner these noble institutions who have curved a niche for themselves in the tourism and hospitality industry.
He stressed that, the association has embarked on a massive membership drive to robe in all in order to have a strong and collection association that can put forward their suggestions and opinions on key national issues that hinges on their business.
He however concedes that, there have been some bottlenecks in their area of business and was confidence measures and initiatives taken will help curb those practices. He made mention of how, CRAG will re-introduce the sticker system where it will help the general public to easily identify with the group and reduce the inconveniences caused by fraudsters to clientele.
Members at the forum welcomed the programs and initiatives of the new executives and also urged them to periodically organize stakeholders’ forum where operators and colleagues will bond together and express their thoughts and new trends in the industry.
