Scores of cargo truck drivers and some businessmen are stuck at Paga, a border town with Burkina Faso in the Upper East region of Ghana due to the unstable security situation in the West African nation.
A recent coup in Burkina Faso by presidential guards led to 10 deaths and several injuries in the capital Ouagadougou.
The development which ended last week after the intervention of an ECOWAS delegation led to the closure of some borders in the country.
Starr News checks at the Paga border have revealed that cargo truck drivers are still unable to travel to Burkina.
Starr News' Upper East regional correspondent Edward Adeti said the truck drivers who have spent close to five weeks claim they are broke and struggling to survive.
But a senior revenue officer of the customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority Emmanuel Lawson told Starr News that the truck drivers and traders are apprehensive to return to Burkina Faso.
