Chairman and CEO of World Space In Ghana

Mr Naah Samora, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of World Space, an international satellite and radio service provider will arrive in Ghana on Wednesday to start a programme on distance education through the use of satellite channels.

According to a statement in Accra on Wednesday, Mr Samora would bring a satellite channel to serve Ghana on a distant education and health delivery initiatives.

He would also call on the President John Agyekum Kufuor to discuss ways of making Ghana benefit from the satellite programme. The satellite channel, a World Space product, comes with a Tele-kiosk technology, which would be mounted here in Ghana with satellite and internet connectivity

Mr. Samora and his World Space delegation would demonstrate the importance of the use of this digital technology to the President and other government functionaries with regards to distant education and tele-medicine.

The effort is expected to help promote health delivery and distance learning in the remotest part of Ghana.

It will also facilitate teleconference in various hospitals, health centres, educational institutions and other areas of the society. The World Space programme has already had demonstrations in Kpando in the Volta Region and Adenta and Pokuase in the Greater Accra Regio
