The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to the 24-Hour Economy initiative, describing it as a catalyst for innovation, sustainable job creation, and economic transformation.

Speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama at the Bank of Ghana’s Strategic Integration Workshop on the 24-Hour Economy, Debrah commended the central bank and other stakeholders for their collaborative efforts in advancing the policy.

He noted that the 24-Hour Economy forms a key pillar of the government’s broader economic agenda, aimed at diversifying growth opportunities, boosting productivity, and repositioning Ghana for long-term stability.

“This bold agenda is key to resetting Ghana’s economic journey,” Debrah stressed, while assuring that the government would provide the enabling environment to make the policy work.

The workshop brought together policymakers, financial experts, and private sector actors to deliberate on frameworks for implementing the 24-Hour Economy, which seeks to extend productivity across multiple sectors by encouraging round-the-clock operations.
