Accra, April 22, GNA - Clydestone, the premiere information technology (IT) company on the Ghana Stock Exchange, has won a three-year contract to supply Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) to Transaction Solutions (TranSol) Ghana Limited for deployment at Shell Service Stations in Ghana.
Mr Frank Opata, General Manager of TranSol, said Clydestone was selected for its strong presence and service capabilities in the payment systems market.
A statement issued in Accra on Friday said the ATMs would be branded as EZIcash and would be deployed in conjunction with ECOBANK Ghana Limited, which was the sponsoring and hosting bank. The contract worth 1.4 billion cedis is to provide five ATMs by June 2005 and another 10 in the last quarter of the year. The statement said by the end of 2006 about 50 ATMs valued at 14 billion cedis would be deployed.
The ATMs would accept all VISA branded cards and customers of other banks are free to use the ATMs, which are independent and, therefore, available to all interested banks.
