Accra,(Greater Accra Region) 15 Oct. The Ghana Cocoa Board today announced that purchases of 1997/98 main crop season will commence on Friday, October 17. A statement issued in Accra, said the producer price to be paid at all buying centres is 54,000 cedis per load of 30 kilograms for grade one and two cocoa beans naked ex-scale and 112,500 cedis per bag of 64 kilograms. One tonne of 16 bags is 1.8 million cedis.
