The Commissioner General of Ghana Revenue Authority, Emmanuel Kofi Nti has entreated officers of the customs division of the GRA to change their mind set to embrace innovation through capacity building which is key to promoting professionalism and improved efficiency.

The Commissioner General said this when he visited some customs duty points at the Port of Tema to share his vision for the Ghana Revenue Authority with officers.

“The vision is about mind set change and automation and capacity building to improve professionalism within the whole GRA sector,” he said.

The GRA Boss further explained that, in order to achieve the said vision, Officers on their part must make the effort by meeting to interact with their superiors and communicate their training needs.

“I have a group Mackenzie, who are in town to help sensitize our people, give them the kind of training they need about mind set and governmental system change and these are the areas that we are trying to build a capacity,” he added.

The GRA Commissioner General also cautioned the officers against their actions and inactions that may cause the country to loose revenue.
