When answering their preferred choices, respondents faced open-ended questions where they were able to state products and service providers freely, in their own words.
Kimo Home was voted the best in the category “chain store retailing in bathrooms”, while Dangote came in pole position in two categories: “cement” and “concrete”.
Experts in the field of Construction in Ghana likewise deemed DBS Industries the best in the category “roof tiles” CAT in the category “construction machinery” and Robert Bosch in the category “construction tools” in the Best Buy Award CONSTRUCTION 2017/2018 independent market survey that offers the best price-quality ratio on the Ghana’s market.
These findings have come from the newest, specialized Best Buy Award Construction 2017/2018 research survey conducted in Ghana in September 2017 by the Swiss organisation ICERTIAS on a sample of 1.200 respondents - Construction professionals and DIY individuals (Internet Users older than 18).
Some of the other category winners included G4S (video surveillance systems), Palance Aluminium (windows), Superlock (front doors), E-Facade (thermal facade systems), Vicalex (terracotta/clay), Red Sea Housing (ready-made prefabricated houses), Hiralco (floor primer), Isopanel (construction insulation products), Midea (air conditioners and coolers).

Methodology and Sampling
The 2017/2018 ICERTIAS Best Buy Award Construction research survey (www.bestbuyaward.org) in Ghana was conducted by the Swiss organisation ICERTIAS - International Certification Association GmbH (www.icertias.com).
The survey was conducted in September 2017 using a web questionnaire on a sample of 1,200 Ghana’s Internet users older than 18 (Construction professionals and DIY individuals), following the Computer Assisted Web Interviewing - Deep Mind Awareness (CAWI - DEEPMA) method.
Companies cannot nominate themselves or directly apply for the Best Buy Award market research. Brands can only “earn” the Best Buy Award status through their product or service winning first place (highest number of consumer/respondent votes) in the relevant category in the Best Buy Award survey. It should be noted that the ICERTIAS Best Buy Award survey does not measure brand equity or market share.
