Consultants' body is to be inaugurated in Ghana

Ho, Jan. 10, GNA - The West Africa Federation of Institutes of Administration and Management Consultants- (WAFIAMC) is to be launched by March.

This is contained in Volume five of "Management Consulting", the Newsletter of the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants (CIAMC), Ghana.

According to the Newsletter, WAFIAMC's is to promote the development and enhancement of the practice of Administration and Management Consultancy in the sub-region.

It would also harmonise regulations and standards of Administration and Management Consultancy practice in West Africa with a view to providing "services of consistently high quality in the public interest". The WAFIAMC would have an eight-member Interim Governing Council with Mr Olabusoye Dairo, President of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria as Interim President with Dr O.T. Feyi-Sobanjo, National Executive Secretary of the CIAMC-Ghana, as the Secretary General. Other members of the Governing Council would be Dr Seth Noble Buatsi, President of CIAMC-Ghana, Dr Emmanuel Adetunji, First Vice-President, Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria.

The rest are Professor Kwaku Appiah-Adu, First Vice-President CIAMC-Ghana, Mr Olu Ajala, and Mr Michael Oladotun, both Council Members of the Institute of Management Consultants-Nigeria and Dr E. Agu White, Deputy National Executive Secretary CIAMC-Ghana. 10 Jan 05
