Deadline for Business Returns Extended to Dec. 31

Accra, Nov. 25, GNA - The Registrar-General's Department on Thursday said it has extended the deadline for the filing of annual returns and renewal of Business Registration Exercise for the last time to December 31.

It has also extended the deadline for the replacement of old certificates for new Security Embossed Certificates to the same date. This was contained in an official statement issued in Accra and signed by Mrs Elizabeth Owiredu-Gyampoh, Registrar-General.

The statement said after that date, names of companies and other business entities, which continued to be in default, would be struck off the register and their business names would be available for use by prospective or new businesses.

It urged all companies, partnership firms and proprietors of businesses to take note of the extension.
