Delta Opens new sales office in Accra

INTRODUCES SPECIAL FARES FOR NON-STOP FLIGHTS TO NEW YORK

Customers can purchase tickets at Delta offices at special fares for new service starting 12 December 2006, linking Accra non stop to New York JFK

ACCRA: 13 November, 2006 – Delta Air Lines ("Delta") – the world's fastest growing international airline – will open the doors of its Accra sales office on Wednesday, 15 November 2006. This will enable customers in Ghana to visit Delta's sales team or telephone Delta's dedicated reservations team in order to book tickets to fly on Delta non-stop from Ghana to the United States. Delta's office is based at 4th Floor, Silver Star Tower, Airport City, Accra and the reservations telephone number is 021 213 111. Delta's sales office and telephone reservations will be open Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.

To celebrate becoming the only major U.S. carrier to operate scheduled non-stop services from Accra to New York JFK, Delta Air Lines has launched special fares in Ghana, which are available for sale at Delta's office or via travel agents until 24 November 2006. Return economy fares from Accra to New York JFK start from USD$649 (subject to applicable taxes and surcharges, availability, terms and conditions). Customers flying on Delta from Accra to New York JFK will save around eight hours in each direction, compared with flying on another airline via Europe, as well as benefit from convenient connections to around 40 cities throughout the United States and beyond. Between Ghana and New York JFK, Delta will operate service using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft seating up to 214 passengers with 35 seats in BusinessElite, Delta's award-winning business class.
