The Minority in Parliament has commenced an engagement with the Greater Accra Regional Police Command for another protest demanding the removal of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison, and his deputies.

The Minority indicated that their second demonstration is based on what they term corruption in the construction of a new headquarters for the Central Bank.

Dr. Addison failed to receive the petition from the Minority after the first Occupy BoG protest.

Addressing the media, Bawku Central MP disclosed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs are in engagement with the police for a return march on the 30th of this month, given what he describes as the mismanagement at the Bank of Ghana.

“I have received an invitation from the police for a meeting at 2:00 this afternoon. That is why I have invited you to know the ongoing processes to get us back on the streets to protest against the Bank of Ghana Governor and demand the removal of his deputies and the Board, and to have a change in the leadership of the Central Bank. So that we can have a change in the direction of the management of the finances of this country.”
