The Deputy Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in charge of customer services, Kwame Agyemang Budu, is embarking on a tour to the 83 operational Districts of the company across the country.
The deputy MD who begun the tour from the Volta Region where he visited all the 11 districts has so far visited Western (12 districts), Eastern (14 districts), Tema (7 districts) and the Central (10 districts).
He is expected to tour 7 districts in Accra East and West and 15 district in the Ashanti Region.
The purpose of the tour , Mr Agyemang Budu, explained is get himself abreast with peculiar issues which are affecting operations of each of the districts and look at how best to assist in addressing those issues.
It is also to reach out to the grassroots staff of ECG in order to encourage them to work hard, demonstrate commitment to the company, to admonish them to refrain from illegalities as well as encourage them to join the collective effort of the company to increase Revenue Collection.
In a bid to ensure that the staff contribute their quota to bring efficiency in the operations of the company, Mr Agyemang Budu, used the opportunity to share what he described as “The 8 Principles of the way we work” with the staff.
He stressed the need for the staff to plan the work and work the plan, to engage in open communication, ensure safety, team work, improve continuously, customer focus plus one (1), celebrate success and reward and seek and accept responsibility.
