Accra, March 3, GNA - Mr Kwadwo Afram-Aseidu, Deputy Trade and Industry Minister on Friday urged Ghanaian entrepreneurs to see joint ventureship as key to their survival and not to shy away from it. He said, "Shying away from joint-ventureship does not only restrict the size of business but also tend to limit the survival of the great entrepreneurial ideas that can injure the benefit of sole proprietorship."
Mr Asiedu-Afram said this when he launched a range of promotional merchandise by Creative Dome Limited, a local advertising and media agency at the ongoing 10 the Ghana International Trade Fair. The products, which include office, home leisure and sports items were mainly imported from Europe and branded by Creative Dome for the Ghanaian and the West African market.
The Deputy Minister applauded Creative Dome for putting in place a shareholding structure, which amplify joint ventureship and urged them to aim at listing on the Ghana Stock Exchange. He said the Ministry was always encouraged to see such high quality of business entrepreneurship unfolded in a form through creative talents.
"Such development are gratifying in view of the government commitment to promote the enabling environment needed to support such endeavours," he said.
Mr Afram-Asiedu said the new Trade Policy, which reflected government quest for the Golden Age of Business, laid clear emphasis on the provision of various supporting services for Small, Medium Scale Enterprises to strengthen their competitiveness. Ms Esther Ofori, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana International Trade Fair said, in this modern age of relationship marketing, it was imperative for Ghanaian companies to see branding of products as key to meeting the competitive global market.
She urged Creative Dome to look into the Ghanaian market and also promote Ghanaian products as well through their creative branding. Mr David Amofah, Chief Executive Officer of Creative Dome, said the company is the official West African representative of Lasco Diffusion and Promotion.
He stressed the commitment of the company using its creative ability to enable companies to meet the challenges of the marketing environment.
