Diamond Cement Company expands its sales network

Aflao (V/R), Jan 14, GNA- Mr Valluri Adinarayana, an Engineer of Diamond Cement Ghana Limited (DCGL) a Portland cement company in Aflao said on Monday that products of the company could be obtained from the Volta, parts of Greater Accra, Eastern and the Northern regions. He said this at the launch of the company's two new cement grade 42.5 Newton (N) and 52.5 Newton, which are stronger than the normal 32.5 Newton grade produced by the Company.

The 52.5 N grade, Mr Adinarayana said is conducive for heavy- duty projects such as the construction industry, storey buildings, roads and bridges, which would be produced only on demand.

He said the company is employing the state-of-the-art technology with modern plants particularly the Sturtvent Third Generation Separator, which required any grade of cement.

Mr Adinarayana said polypropylene cement bags, which prevents spillage of the product would be introduced to prevent customers from loosing the commodity during haulage.

Mr Chitti Babu, General Manager of the Company said they are on regular power supply from the Volta River Authority adding, that the company would increase production according to the growth of the economy. The Company, he said has began feasibility studies to construct a three-kilometre rail line from Aflao to link the Togo railways for easy transportation of raw materials to the factory.
